The Andover Live committee have put together a two day programme of activities this weekend at Vigo Road Park Andover. The two days are Free and all ages and abilities can come along and enjoy the fun.
On the Saturday at the Get Active Sports Fair, over 30 local clubs and organisations will be providing displays and information about their own particular sports with experts on hand to answer questions. This event is not just about sport, it’s as the title says “Get Active”, so throughout the day you’ll be able to watch and take part in a variety of activities including belly dancing, a climbing wall and surprisingly an ice ring, as well as the more usual sporting activities.
On the Sunday visitors to the park can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Summer Sounds Music and Arts Festival where there will be a main stage with a range of music acts, stilt walkers and walkabout acts performing throughout the park, and a tented workshop village where all ages can take part in free activities such as Kite and Windmill making, Calligraphy and Origami, Rangoli Design and Creative Willow as well as designing a Dreamcatcher.
The weekend is organised by the Andover Live Committee and Test Valley Borough Council supported by HSA Simple Health, Hampshire County Council, Waitrose, Test Valley Arts Foundation, Sport Andover, and Andover’s new radio station Andover Sound.
